The company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical performing on stage at the Piccadilly Theatre

Based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film of the same name, Moulin Rouge! The Musical is set in Paris in 1899. It follows Christian, a young American writer who falls for Satine, star performer of the Moulin Rouge cabaret, while club owner Harold Zidler's need for money and a wealthy Duke's pursuit of Satine complicate their romance. Unknown to Christian, Satine is dying of tuberculosis, and the story builds to her sacrificing her own happiness to protect him before the truth is revealed during the final performance.

The West End production is led by director Alex Timbers, choreographer Sonya Tayeh, scenic designer Derek McLane and costume designer Catherine Zuber.
